About David

County Commissioner

Since 2004, I have been representing Tecumseh area residents on the Lenawee County Board of Commissioners. For the past four years, I have been elected to serve as the commission’s chairman, presiding over all meetings of the Board of Commissioners and overseeing the financial operations of the county, among many other duties.

In my time on the Board of Commissioners, I have assisted with the restructuring of the County criminal justice system, the launch of the Adrian-Tecumseh Smart Zone for economic development, and most recently supported the $2.5 million upgrade of the 9-1-1 system to 800 Mghz that drastically improved communication among our first responders in emergency situations. Additionally, we worked with the City of Tecumseh to shift the 9-1-1 evening operations to the County at no additional cost to the city.

The positive strides we’ve made over the past decade have led to a stronger economy, more jobs, business expansions, a fiscally stronger local government, and improved county services for our residents. While the COVID-19 pandemic will certainly have an impact on our local economy, experienced and strong leadership in our local government will ensure that we limit the effects as much as possible.

I am asking for your vote to re-elect me to the Board of Commissioners this November.

Experience

I’ve been serving on the board of commissioners for 16 years and have garnered the support of a wide variety of Tecumseh and Lenawee County residents, officials, and business owners. I’ve proven that by working with other commissioners we can make local government more efficient and effective as well as provide better outcomes to our constituents.
